Meet Our Team

Claudia Heath

Claudia Heath joined Food Works Group with diverse experience in operations, strategy and finance at high-growth food and agriculture companies. She is interested in helping mission-driven food businesses thrive and challenge the status quo. Claudia’s interest in agriculture began with her first farming jobs on organic vineyards and vegetables farms. After a brief career in marketing, she returned to agriculture and joined the team at Babylon MicroFarms, a vertical farming company in Virginia.

While attending the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, Claudia was the President of the Food and Agriculture club and was appointed to UVA’s Waste Action Plan committee. She interned with Peeko Oysters, a Long Island oyster company with a nationwide direct-to-consumer business, and Northstar Recycling, a leading organics and food waste recycler for CPG brands.

After graduating, Claudia joined Farmer Focus, a leading organic chicken brand, as a Sustainability Strategy Associate. She later became Finance and Strategic Projects Manager, and led the company’s financial forecasting, inventory management, and cash flow forecast through major strategic shifts to the business. During her time at Farmer Focus, the company nearly doubled its farmer network and production, and is the largest organic chicken producer on the East Coast.

In addition to an MBA, Claudia has a Bachelor’s degree from UVA in Creative Writing. She currently lives in Alexandria, VA.
