EASTERN WEST VIRGINIA COMMUNITY AND TECHNICAL COLLEGE - MOOREFIELD, WV

FACILITATION, GRANT MATCHMAKING, AND GRANT DEVELOPMENT FOR STRENGTHENED FEDERAL GRANT APPLICATIONS

FUNDRAISING AND RESOURCE IDENTIFICATION | 2023-2024

Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College (The College) and their nonprofit, Eastern Workforce Opportunity Regional Center and Services (Eastern WORCS) engaged Food Works Group (FWG) to enhance their federal grant strategy for their Agriculture Innovation Program. Specifically, this program works with state and local partners to support workforce development, educational, and community-led projects that drive economic development in West Virginia’s agricultural sector. FWG facilitated in-person and virtual conversations with The College, Eastern WORCS, and their community partners to deepen understanding of programs, operations, goals, and clarify funding priorities. With this strengthened understanding, FWG supported the development of a grant strategy that maximizes funding solicitation in the immediate, medium, and long-term and is aligned with the Agriculture Innovation Program’s needs. Finally, FWG continues to support The College and Eastern WORCS with grant writing support for upcoming USDA grant opportunities.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Food Works Group for their exceptional collaboration with Eastern Workforce Opportunity Regional Center and Services. Working with FWG has been transformative for our organization. The team’s unwavering commitment to our mission, coupled with their expertise and innovative strategies, has truly elevated our projects. FWG not only provided valuable insights and projections but also approached our initiatives with a level of mastery that surpassed our expectations. Their team goes above and beyond, and their dedication and quick turnaround in delivering results have significantly contributed to the success of our endeavors.
